today is still within the +/- 2 days of set day...most of mine went in 1 day before and now 7 more 2 days after...I think that's ok. You should be fine today too...
Umm, I don't think it IS too late! Isn't there a two day window either side of the Set Date? I think you JUST made it!

well, I think I just made it too, but I have only been to see her once today and I need an extra confirmation day just in case she doesn't leave the eggs. I don't have my bator set up and don't want it to be......extra spots means more chicks. hahaha

im going on vacation after memorial day weekend so no chicks in the garage for me.....I was depending on a broody to do all the work for me. LOL

Hi everyone! I just weighed Oomoo yesterday, and he weighs 2 LBS! This guy is only a little over 2 weeks old! he drinks and eats SOOOOOO much and he is only a baby, HIs sib isn't as greedy lolol .(of course she's younger thought). I'll have to post more pics. The third little emu in the egg is growing very nicely, and is wiggling. I have been sooo busy taking care of them, finally moved them out side today into a shed with a heat lamp. they seem to be doing well.

that's wonderful : ) so glad they are being taken care of by such a great farmer as yourself.

Be careful with yours. One minute it was 99.5 and then 20 minutes later (no touching, turning, opening, etc.) it was 102+. I am glad the Brinsea incubators work for you but I just lost over $2000 in eggs.

Oh by the way, let's lower the count by 12 since my horrible Binsea incubator just cooked my eggs.

I've been warning people for a while about Brinseas.. had a bunch of them and every one had issues
Sorry you lost all those eggs.. but I can feel your pain.. I had one that kept rising in temp well over 120 and still rising.. they reside at the dump now
People tend to forget that Brinsea is in the market to sell incubators.. they are not a hatchery.. so they really don't care about your hatch rates or if their products have problems or design flaws.. so long as they make a profit they're happy.....

I love my coolerbators!
X200000000000000000000000000000 @yinepu did you see the Cabinet Coolerbator we made? Its awesome and cheap! love it so much I just ordered two more coolers, another bator and one hatcher!!

Also was going to message you about tips for hatching call duck eggs! did you make an article for that size duck?
Howdy ya'll!

I might have to smack my little broody hen if she didn't get her fluffy butt back on those eggs today! I know it was gorgeous but I hope that doesn't mean it broke her of being broody already xD Grrrrr. She was out in the run just scratching to her little hearts content. The eggs were still warm when I touched them though so I hope it was just a brief lapse. *siiiiigh*
Everyone enjoying your monday?

I know it's Monday, but my broody with her 10 eggs counts right?
Yes, they count! Good luck!

Just collected my eggs. I'm pretty sure Marshie is broody AGAIN.

WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE ONE DAY AFTER SET FAY FOR THE EASTER HATCH?!?!?!?
LOL

It's so depressing. I came to the coop, her sitting on that little nest of hers, on two warm eggs. One day late. Stinks.
Hooray, You made it! Go Marshie!

well, I did it. I filled the empty spots in my turner + 2 more eggs...so my new total is 44 eggs for the HAL. I am going to see what hatches out of 5 of my brown (regular light brown) BYM hens' eggs + 2 of the bluer eggs laid by my 2 Ameraucana hens...

So I hope the ones in charge of this HAL see this... 44 eggs for chickenlisa...what am I going to do with that many new chicks if they do all hatch??? Yikes!
We see it thanks for the update!
The daily digest has been updated!
Hooray!
