Ugh! I feel so silly! I set my eggs on the wrong date. For some reason, I was thinking the 26th instead of the 29th so my eggs are going to be off a few days. Oh well.

My egg count is 12 I believe (I'll double check tomorrow), all fertile and have movement. For my first hatch I think things are going well! I removed 3 unfertilised eggs and 2 rings of death but all others look good! We are on day 10 now.

How can I candle all 35 eggs without them cooling off too much?

I candled 60 eggs and didn't lose enough heat to matter. You have to remember, it takes a little while for the internal temperature of the egg to drop. I numbered mine, so I candled one by one. No problems!

Ugh. This rooster in my basement is gonna drive me batty! Hope we get an outside pen/box or something for him. Just couldn't leave him in with the broody lol maybe I should've risked moving her instead...

It is a good Sunday morning!!!! DH and kids are off skiing and I'm home alone with the dog. 12 wild turkeys in the backyard. 30 eggs in the incubator and the brooder ready for baby chicks that will be here in the morning. And I have tomorrow off from work. God is Great!!!!
