Don't Fret, she will change it Back soon. Sally often changes for a day or so but always goes back to the Smiling faced Avatar.

my hatch as of this morning, I think i have 2 more coturnix on he way. got a nice variety of buttons,at least one tux, a blue tux and several that I can't match up to a color chart yet so I will have to see what they turn into as they grow

My incubator is still air...no turner (I do it by hand).

That will be perfect then. Do everything just like you do for chicks except about 15% higher humidity for lockdown. Ducks also hatch more slowly & could take a whole 3 days from pip to hatch. Don't try to help too soon!

Oooo..is this what I'll be getting?  I'm wanting another pretty blue out there.  Between you and Arielle, I just may get me one.

Yep, only I didn't have any chocolate eggs in this batch because those girls were still on strike. All of my girls are laying now except the 6 yr old EE banty. She's my broody for call duck eggs. She rarely lays any more but loves to hatch babies.

They charge more for anything over 12" so I have come up with this system to keep it cost effective and in a 12" or less box...... not sure how much more, but they do have a 14" box free as well if you ask, most people will pay a tad more for shipping if they know it will come double boxed if you suggest it to them.

I can easily fit a doz plus LF bubble wrapped eggs in

Priority Mail
00ae.png
Regional Rate Box - A1

Inside Dimensions: 10" x 7" x 4-3/4" Outside Dimensions: 10-1/8" x 7-1/8" x 5"

And then I can fit A1 in this box

Priority Mail Box - 7.
Inside Dimensions: 8" x 12" x 12" Outside Dimensions: 8-1/2" x 12-1/4" x 12-1/4"

I use the cheap red bubble wrap from Walmart, Not one person has had a broken egg yet (knock wood)

and for banty eggs I use the

Priority Mail Box - 4
Inside Dimensions: 6" x 7" x 7"
Outside Dimensions: 6-1/2" x 7-1/4" x 7-1/4"

and also inside the BOX 7 above.

Problem: my runs are in ruins and I have to keep my chickens in for a while because of the hawk attack. Hubby is working today. My solution: cover all holes with nailed down blankets...even put a blanket up in place of the gate that is solidly frozen in the ground. Thought you might get a kick out of these pics to show just how dilapidated it's gotten. Oh, and I cleaned out my fridge and cupboards to make a treat for them to curb their boredom.

Yes for just. 12 eggs I can find boxes to double box? What do you use as filler. ? As bubble wrap is the best IMO . If you want to ship up to 16 eggs though that is my question as I would not ship any eggs unless I could still layer with bubble wrap. Single or double boxed. The other main issue is you need to make sure everything is snug in the box and doesn't move single or double boxed. I almost always get compliments on how I pack so I think it's working lol
