The generator is reserved, to be picked up tomorrow. Whew!

Thanks for all the luck, it worked!

Now if I can jus keep it running all day and it will be enough to run the cabinet and tabletop bators............

I have two truck batteries and a harbor freight inverter for my bator. It will give me eight hours run time.

Not being there to maintain a generator with our rust issue makes it a non viable option.

My easter emu egg is 15 days into incubation and lost 16 grams from last week, so, that's pretty good. Still trying to post a vid of the other eggs wiggling.

Woo! I'm finally caught up. I didn't realize how much this thread grows in a day and a half.

So I drove the 4.5 hours to Meyers yesterday to pick up my fuzzybutts. I figure these fuzzies will provide plenty of cuteness while my current eggs are in the bator then those fluffies will keep me busy while I wait on my Hatch-A-Long eggs to hatch.

Hubby is NOT happy with me. I keep assuring him that the majority of the ones I hatch will be sold and that calms him a little. lol

Anywho here are my fuzzies!

Mystery Meal Maker (I'm thinking White Leghorn)

Dark Cornish (She's SO TINY! I can't believe this little thing will grow into a Cornish.)

Gold Laced Polish 1 (Little Bratty thing. Her Temp name is Brat. lol)

Gold Laced Polish 2 (Both Polish are very curious)

Blue Cochin ( So Pretty!)

And last but not least my Light Brahma

Hi, I am thinking of purchasing 2 yr old Buff Orphington Hens. Need opinions as to if you think they would be traumatized to the point they wont continue laying eggs. I really didn't want to buy baby chicks and wait for eggs. Opinions please>

Thanks,

Dolly

They usually start laying again but it takes a couple of weeks or so.

They should keep laying for you but Buff Orps are not known as a great laying Breed.

Congratulations!
