It's that time again! Every year, hundreds of members come together to set eggs to hatch on the exact same day - the day BEFORE Easter. As a group last year, we had 7,629 eggs set for hatching! If you are new to hatching, this is a great way to get a lot of help, tips and advise. Join in the fun for the largest BYC Hatch-a-long of the year!

Should we add this?

TO JOIN the hatchalong simply post in this thread that you wish to enter and we will add you! Set dates for each type of domestic fowl are listed below.
This thread is our main chat thread for the hatchalong where you can find anything from new friends, awesome incubation help to the most detailed educational discussions possible and how could we forget the laughter and fun!
This post of the Hatchalong (1st post) will be updated as we move along with all the important information you will need.
But if you find yourself with a question just post it on the thread, everyone is helpful!
You will also find Rons Daily Digests extremely helpful if you have trouble keeping up with such a fast moving thread, find them HERE

Good afternoon everyone!! I am SOOOO excited - my IncuView Incubator came today!!! YAY! Now I can fiddle with it (more like stare at it) until my eggs come! Only a couple more weeks to go for us all!! I made an album for me unboxing and setting up the incubator as it's sort of a newish one that not many people have. It's really hard seeing it sit empty. I am getting so impatient!! Can't imagine how I'll feel once it's full of eggs!!! I won't get anything done for 3 weeks!

Oh Sally I did not know you liked Spanish breeds ! come join us over at the Poultry Breeds of Spanish ancestry thread. Hopefully there will be a new Spanish breeds club in the USA soon

Do you have a link? I love the WFBS!!!! I have posted on that thread questions but not many answers and on the FB page not too much help except from Juan and he has to translate everything before he sends to me

Finally I have a pipe I feel like I have been waiting forever for these chicks to hatch lol. I hear a few peeps also so I hope I wake up to a few chicks.

Sally...those are LF NN's. I had a white one a couple of years ago, she didn't make it through the rough weather we had, pretty much like everyone back North East is having this year. Here is a photo of her.

Will have to check in with Happy Chooks and the gang to see, not sure since it will be for hatchalong participants only, :/

LOL get them into shape girl!

Yep, love my kids but, I also love having quiet days! Lol That only happens when they are all in school! Lol

My peaceful days are about to end. My roommate wants to homeschool her 6 yr old. The kids has been home from school sick the past 2 days & roommate is griping about her being "up her butt constantly." I just asked her how she's going to handle homeschooling if she's already on her nerves. Her reply, "Oh, that will be different." Ummmm...sure it will. Bwahahahaa!!! She's in for a rude awakening!!! I tried homeschooling with my 3 oldest. NOPE!!! Momma needs her break!!!!

I think they should post the Entire Hatching 101 Article. Goldmine of Info.

They should post it (The Hatch-A-Long), but how would you get them to? I guess maybe a mod send a request??But then I'd have to change my how many eggs will be set guess for sure!!
