the only way to really know an emu's sex is to wait three years or send some broken shell with membrane for dna sampling

its about 30 bucks but worth it if trying for a pair

Oh phooey, just check the wing tips, are they tight at the end? Are there longer tips and shorter tips? That should give you a pretty good idea for now. Anyone want to argue with that?
