Beautiful eggs ;)
Green grass...am so jealous after 6 more inches of snow then slammed with ice :(

So getting ready to set the eggs in my incubator and saw the humidity dropped to 20...so I added another 8am sponge and water...AND moved the guage to the middle vs the side and up to 50...thats too high to set correct? ??

Two more chicks just hatched. Anotherone is working on zipping its shell.

He's HUGE!!!!!!

went to check on the humidity and temperature (and take a photo so I could actually count how many there are) and it turns out they are hatching a day early! closed it up quick! hopefully the humidity gets up quickly again.

Pretty pretty eggs.

Contest #14 just made e drool.,. Literally. I don't think I have EVER drooled before when considering chicken breeds! I've had my teeth hurt in envy, coveting other breeds' pictures, but not drooling. And I don't eat my chickens!

The egg box is super nifty, too; I wish I had especially colorful eggs but my girls just lay light green, a couple pale blue, two white egg layers, and various shades of brown or pinkish tan. Nothing really amazing.

However, I JUST sold three dozen eggs to tourists at my favorite "watering hole!" Some of them had never seen (naturally) green eggs.
Gotta add a few more colors linda!!

Really???? I had multiple quotes and lost them all but this one.

Also tonight I brought my youngest DD to Girl Scouts, she is a Daisy. Well the badge they are currently working on this year is one for tending or caring for animals. They have been working on it all year and they usually end the course with a trip to woofmeow (a local pet store). Well this year they are ending the course at my house.

They put it to a vote and all the girls voted to come to my daughters "farm". Im excited. I will teach them some fun facts and maybe play some farm trivia games, also show them how to feed and water the animals and collect eggs. They can each feed some grain to the goats and brush them. I will have our fresh batch of Easter chicks hatched and ready to be picked up (with only gentle hands of course) I also will plan a hatch to fall on that day so the girls can hopefully see a chick hatch or at least some pipped eggs.

Then I thought we would end the day with my DD handing out a half dozen eggs to each girl to bring home, each half dozen consisting of 1 of each color blue, green, olive, light brown, chocolate brown and cream. That way they can see chickens have variety in egg color as well as feather color.

I only wish I would have poults by then, but I wont.

Any other suggestions are very much Welcome.

400

Here are a few of the rainbow babies hatched so far. I have over 40 chicks available right now, all under 2 weeks old, with more hatching if anyone "needs" chicks. I also had a cancellation on an egg order for this week if anyone still needs eggs!!! PM me for details & prices. My birds produce a rainbow of egg & feather colors.
