Well, it's day 25 and not a single egg hatched. These were all eggs that had frozen when we had those really low temps. I just wanted to see if they would hatch. So much for that experiment. Time to toss them and get the incubator ready for the hatch along.

I'm sorry, that's a bummer. Set more for Easter!

Yep, there are TWO caption contests.

To participate we have to actually set eggs for Easter hatching. Right????

We are setting to hatch the day BEFORE Easter. We are counting anything set +/- 2 days for the contests.

I want to say I set 24 but only 12 made it. I didnt hate any quitters, I just tried incubated already refigerated eggs..,,, I learned is a big no no. Hahaha

Well, 12 is still good! Just set more for Easter!

I have a huge dilemma.
I never thought I'd say this after buying my Sportsman.... I have NO room in my incubator. I am not kidding. I have over 100 eggs on the way to me and the over 60 of my own I have collected. These aren't even for the Easter Hatch!
What am I going to do?!? I hope when I candle over half are clear or dead, otherwise, I am in trouble.

Well, who is ready for the 2nd LIVE EMU HATCHING CAM?!!!! The 2nd emu should hatch in 3-4 days. Also Easter hatch along emu chick is losing wait, and every thing is groovy for it. I promise that I will start posting more pics of the emu, here's one now. My computer has been a super maga ultra dumb dumb head lately. This dude is HUGE!!!!

You know how badly I want a Sportsman?? Here's what Ray has been working on. I hesitate to show anyone because I know we did things wrong...like having 1 bulb, using a heatlamp bulb, my tiny house fan (even though I am going to replace it with a computer fan soon). BUT this baby is holding temps great, and when my Spotcheck comes today I'll finally be able to adjust them. I'm scared to use it though, I must admit!
