I'm hatching some Turkey's for a friend. If several hatch, I can keep one

Setting EE's and GLW for selling. I can hatch all I want to keep in the fall.

Setting Brabanters, Orpingtons, Swedish Flower Hens, and D'uccle's for breeding program birds. So I'll be growing them all out and keeping the best, selling the rest as backyard flock additions.

Hoping to get Marans for setting Monday, a couple pullets from these would go in my breakfast maker pen. The rest I'd sell.

I like selling chicks to help offset the feed cost around here.

Check the air cells. and let them sit for a bit before you put them in the bator. You should be able to file an insurance claim on them. I believe all the ebay/paypal priority packages come with $50 of "free" insurance.

I think my total is 27 eggs. I just hope I get a few pullets! Legbar, Isbar, Welsummer, BBS Marans, EE. Thank you SO very much to Rob and Kathy. I can't wait until hatch day!

Got my quail eggs! Looks like I will be setting :

18 cortunix quail
17 Bantam Wellsummers
12 mixed barnyard with 6 blue eggs, 3 green eggs, and 3 brown eggs.

That leaves me with 7 slots in the cartons that I will just add some of my OE's to and get a firm test that after butt fluff cuts, my chickens are finally making the Love Connection.

This is a mini ice tray with silicon bulbs. I immediately saw a quail egg holder. Sara Sweatman you quail eggs got her perfectly!

I am leaning that way too.

If you do use them, get the goo off of them. The Preferred way is to use 80 degree water and a clean dish cloth to clean off the goo.

A weak bleach solution does not hurt(add enough bleach to smell it--just a bit-- might help).

Usually those eggs have cracks that you cannot see and become seeping stinking smell bombs so watch them and smell them! I would also write something on them so that you know which ones they are.
