That is A LOT of eggs to hand turn! Wow!

I've been trying to find a use redwood bator locally but have yet to have any luck. They look really nice.

I put an ad on CL for a cabinet incubator the guy emailed me and said he had one I talked to him asked him what he wanted for it he said $100 and then said he had a second one he would throw in because he didn't want to deal with the repairs the trays needed. So I feel like I stole them lol.

How did you install an electronic thermostat? Where did you find a thermostat? I have 2 LGs I'd like to try that with. I always have terrible hatches with them. So frustrating!

I've got a pair of Dickey incubators (a 3 tray incubator with a hatching tray and a 5 tray hatcher), picked them up for a great price of craig's list, and man, what a sweet set.

I struggled with the styrofoam incubators, would seem to always have something go wrong...usually right before a hatch.    It's actually kind of nice to set walk by periodically noting they are lovely and stable.  Now, everything hatches, even had 50 to 75% rates this winter when half my eggs were lost to cracking open from the cold.  Will never go back.  I will say, though that my styrofoam incubators started to do much better after I installed an electronic thermostat on them.

I hear cheeping, and 1 has pipped. Two of them rolled their eggs out of position when they were rocking. Do I try to candle, and reposition them, or will they find the larger part of the air sac on their own?

I got something like this, may even be the same one, and wired it in. There were downloadable wiring directions. Used some of those plastic wire twist caps and some electrical tape, I wired in a fan, too, picked up a nice little computer fan for each of them. Temps got a LOT more stable for me...then I got the cabinets and haven't looked back. LOL, I wired up 2 foam bators and a little two tray homemade incubator with them right before that, but certainly don't need to run them now. At least, not yet!

Sorry, I can't give you more detailed directions, would have to just look back at the wiring directions, but it was pretty straightforward.
