Oh, my, gosh! Look at the egg I just found in my coop! It is next to my largest duck egg that I have! Should I throw it in my bator and see what happens? :jumpy
I wouldn't - it's most likely a double or triple yolk, which has a great chance of developing and a very low chance of surviving ,so it'll most likely have a disappointing result. They do however make great omlets! :)
Lol :gig

I need to go and candle the rest of mine...I found one that was stinky this morning I need to make sure there is no more bad eggs in my incubator...not too suprised by a stinker they are mostly shipped eggs

I bet rubber bungie cords cut in half..the big end stays in the pipe....Youtube has many video's how to make one, i ordered rubber fingers off of Ebay and made one just like this the other day.. you then take a cheap drill mount it to a table etc strap it down, then either tape or zip tie the trigger and you have a power chicken plucker for like $40 (including the drill)

Speaking of processing equipment, I don't mind processing, but my scalding technique/resources leave a lot to be desired. Anyone have recommendations for an easy scalder situation for just a chicken or few? Boiling water on the stove just isn't really good for more than one. Don't want to set up a big water heater driving tub, but something in between? Do they make electric turkey friers or something?

BTW; the egg is a double yolker... Decisions...
It wold be best to feed it to the Dogs.

They usually die before the second week. If they both develop hatching is hard.
That said, our motto is to:

Keep us posted!

I use a propane turkey fryer one with a burner and big pot..but last thankgiving they sold a countertop turkey fryer basically really big regular fryer...i bet that would work ..
