I just candled a few if my d'uccle eggs and I see movement It was exciting to see for the first time.

Candled my eggs tonight and of 48 eggs, only two were infertile. 46 marching on to Easter!

Woke up this morning and noticed that all the clocks were blinking. I guess we lost power last night during the storm that passed through. I'm not sure how long it was out for, and when I checked on the eggs the temp was reading as it should. If the temps dropped low enough for long enough to affect the eggs, how long before I would be able to see evidence of that? And would it look like a blood ring or something of that sort, or would it just not have any progress of development from the last time I candled? I've thankfully never had the power go out when incubating eggs before so I'm not quite sure what to look for.

On a happier note, I just found out my husband and I are expecting a little "chick" of our own! I guess this one is being "set" just in time for the Christmas 2014 Hatch-a-long!! lol Thank goodness I don't have to manually adjust/watch the temp and humidity for the next 9 months for this one!

Here are my pictures from tonight.

Number 34

Number 32 the awesome one from yesterday. It was jumping around like crazy.

And the porous egg. It's different from yesterday but doesn't look like the others.

Sorry they aren't as good as yesterday but the camera didn't want to cooperate.

I set these Anconas at noon today.

And here is the giant one at midnight.
