Thank you though, for your review. I was considering getting a tiny little bator like that for a back-up but now I know better.

You have probably already cut the cords by now. Won't hurt a thing, just cut a bit away from their tummy. It sounds like poor mama cat has worms. Not unusual at all, in fact, usually happens with cats and dogs while expecting. This will pass onto the kittens, that's why it's important to get them wormed when it's time for their shots. You can google shots and worming and see that you can actually worm them sooner if you want, and, the mama cat can be wormed now. Sounds like she would really appreciate it! Would love to see photos!

I want to mention that having a pregnant cat is odd for me. Last pregnant female I had was over 8yrs ago. I am 100% pro spay/neuter. Usually my girls are done by 6 months. This one slipped outside between feet one day and was gone for the better part of a week. I didn't think she was in heat since she just went through a cycle (she was going in heat every other week for an entire week long). I wanted her to have at least one heat cycle since I had my last female spayed before she was 5 months old and I have seen her spray (outside only) and honestly think having girly hormones run through her just once would have stopped that. I worm regularly as well. I know Night's babies are the product one one or two stray males around here that I really wish weren't. They are not mine but they like to come around and cause issues with my fixed boys who are outside mousers. I have had a couple ran off and the ones that are here have been beat up badly.

As a side note... I was toying with the idea of breeding Night to a black Manx. That was the other reason for the spay delay. Not that I have 7 kittens I didn't plan... That idea is GONE now.

ETA: Pics as soon as I remember to return the camera to my desk. You know, I keep it on my desk thinking someday something cool will happen in my dark corner of the house (that's sarcasm) and the one time something cool does happen, my camera is in my purse and I keep forgetting it. Soon, I promise!

Popping in to say hello! Been busy with the Funny Random Posting and Mini contests all day. I pray you all enjoy the night! We have chicks hatching, 2 Blue Sal Favs are already out. [COLOR=333333]My stupid springers dug under the white faced spanish gate, killed a hen and scattered everyone else all over the woods!!! Searching outside in the pricker bushes for them in the dark and here the ROO is already in the coop and four hens are on the roof! the rest are MIA probably on the house roof or the dogs ate them completely!!! ughhhhhh [/COLOR]

Now Its best for me to assume they will dig at all fencing and attempt to get under via digging!!!! I have a feeling they will end up back to a small area of my back yard instead of the back acre. more fencing! We are soon going to look like a prison when someone comes! Hoping I have time to read through the thread before bed!

Oh Sally I am so sorry to hear of your bad day I pray everyone else is located happy and well.

Hey guys! Sorry I've been a slack hatch a long participant. Between losing all but 3 of the dorking from my McMurray order, 1 out of 4 geese actually hatching, NONE of my dorking eggs developing and something getting into my barn and killing 22 4-6wk old chicks, I have been a basket case.
Ugh. On a brighter note, I have 2 CPG eggs developing, all 18 BBS English Orps developing and 7 out of 12 Narri eggs still going strong! Over half the Silkie eggs I set are duds and I need new batteries before I'll be able to see into my AM and Marans eggs.
Thanks a bunch to @ronott1 for the digest or I'd be lost!

Got home from work today and my poor little weak chick who struggled to hatch late last night had died with his eyes open in the incubator. He seemed to have an infection in the naval area that had opened, he was in a pool of the liquid.

I still have the four beautiful chicks that hatched, so I'm grateful for that. My husband took care of that ghastly sight while I took our four year old outside to play. I had kind of an epiphany with this experience.
Incubating is hard!
Life and death literally come with the task.
And math.

And there it is...the lesson we all eventually learn, because it can't be taught. So sorry for the chickie!

THE MAGIC HAS BEGUN!

I just set 3 polish eggs under marshie! (at 6:30 PM)
she is now the happiest camper alive.

I couldn't resist....LOL. I called my breeder and asked for ameraucana, polish or australorps, but he only had 3 polish...all others were bought that day. SO I paid $4.50 for 3 eggs.....it will be well worth it, and hopefully I will end up with cool crossed colors, no frizzles, and NO MIXED BREEDS. (its happened twice...trust me. LOL)

NOW 21 DAYS OF WAITING! due to hatch on the 29th.



he has silver laced, gold laced, top hat, and buff.....im pretty sure all in the same pen.......I HOPE I have all pure polish....maybe crossed coloring too!

I had to reply to this because I am sincerely humbled by the work that goes on behind the scenes with this gal. I truly don't know how she keeps it all together here on BYC as well as being a daycare provider, mother, wife, and fulltime poultry business to boot! I know today alone she started in again at 8:15 a.m. with ideas, and edits, and final drafts for the Random Posting Day. I had a headache by 7:00 p.m., and yet Sally's still going strong! Thank You Dear Lady, and I only wish all could see what you do for us on here!

Okay, not to make light of the situation but you seriously have a gift in witty sarcasm! My favorite kind of humor! I laughed so hard watching this! If it were on Facebook I would have shared it in a heartbeat! Thanks for the laugh, & I do hope your chickies fair well in spite of their current accommodations!

The emu egg is really wiggling of late! I have a strong feeling that this big guy is going to hatch early. Mark My Words. lol. This is prob a dumb Q. but should I also put the THIRD emu egg hatching on live stream when the day comes?

Of course you should, but try and have that talk with it about hatching during more reasonable hours please!

I need chicken friends who can laugh at geeks trying to live in the country and the trouble we get ourselves into! I swear I didn't read anything about it singing before I purchased it! I would have known better at that point! I should do a real review of the thing with the company I got it from so others at least have a heads up!
