These are all pictures of serama eggs I had shipped by Sally, I am so excited to have these hatch!! 13 of the original 16 (two are surprise eggs) still going strong not bad considering the journey they took.

This egg is TINY!!

Wish this were clearer this guy was swimming like crazy!!

Oh lord I want them to hatch now!!

Thank you so much for making me feel a bit better. Between the turning thing with the shipped eggs and this incubator I have been feeling so bad for the little eggs but trying to keep my sense of humor. This is what happens when Geeks move to the country! LOL

Ok my fellow hatchers, I need advice.

Since I'm hatching so many different types of chicks, I need a way to identify them (with 60 eggs, I won't remember which chick is what breed, etc.) I tried using zip ties last year but I wasn't happy with them...especially when I had to snip them off because of getting tight on chick's leg. So I want to get leg bands, but I don't know if what I want are even made.

I want a type of leg band that will expand as the chick grows so that I don't have to keep changing them. Is anything like this available??

IF NOT, how do I know what size leg bands to buy? When I looked online, they always had sizes, and I have no idea what sizes i would need!

BTW, since at least half of my chicks will be black, I can't use food coloring to put a dot on heads.

I am using the loom bands as chick identification bands. Right now, I gave them a single twist and they are staying on the ankle. I am trying one with out the twist to see if it is too loose. They come in multi-color packs and can be found in most craft stores and sometimes in Wal-Mart and Target. I would show a picture of chick with one on (or a link to the band's) but computer needs a new fan and I don't have access to the pictures. Similar bands can be found he hair styling section ( little girl's hair accessories).

You can't see them, but there are baby bunnies in that pile of fur! My one rabbit finally had her babies today! I can't wait until they get some fur so I can take them out and document their cuteness!

I just shared my bator pic on the Cinco de mayo thread. But thought I would share here also. I have 76 eggs crammed in to my bator half for this Easter hatch and the other half set for the Cinco de mayo hatch. This is the first time I have crammed my bator like this lol. Im a little nervous.

Mine will look like that is a week. Is this an internal pip for my goose?

It's in the highest part of the air cell and it's only day 26.

Popping in to say hello! Been busy with the Funny Random Posting and Mini contests all day. I pray you all enjoy the night! We have chicks hatching, 2 Blue Sal Favs are already out.

My stupid springers dug under the white faced spanish gate, killed a hen and scattered everyone else all over the woods!!! Searching outside in the pricker bushes for them in the dark and here the ROO is already in the coop and four hens are on the roof! the rest are MIA probably on the house roof or the dogs ate them completely!!! ughhhhhh

Now Its best for me to assume they will dig at all fencing and attempt to get under via digging!!!! I have a feeling they will end up back to a small area of my back yard instead of the back acre. more fencing! We are soon going to look like a prison when someone comes!

Hoping I have time to read through the thread before bed!
