This is my BLRW chick. I've never hatched them before - does anyone know what color this one will be? I'm assuming not black.

my hatch has finally started. Heard peeping last night late.... Have 1 cute little 1/2 Andalusian/ CCB chick. The waiting begins. Sat March 29 at noon. My white marans shipped eggs haven't started hatching. Pray for at least a trio.....

It's day 18 for my Brinsea Mini Advance. The manual says the turning will stop 2 days before hatch which is. Day 19. I thought lockdown was today the 18 th so I turned off the turner and took the tray out, filled both sides of the water reservoir and put a paper towel in the bottom. Am I doing this right or should I have waited till tommorrow like the manual said?? I set mine on March 31

It stops turning at the end of day 18, beginning of 19. What you did will be fine.

I think I totally forgot to post that I was joining in on the hatch but I did set my eggs on March 29th. I'm still trying to figure out the whole process but I put 28 in, if I remember correctly. I still have 15 in that look like they will hatch! Last night I was doing the final check and locking down when I heard chirping. This morning I peeked in the window and already have a pip! Oh and 12 are Bantam Cochins the other 3 are Orpington mixes.
