This has been a wonderful experience for both my girls even with such a great age difference 5 & 15 years old
We may make this an Easter Tradition to hatch a few chicks, along with their other celebratory fun

Number 20 just hatched. Final standings: 20 out of 22 hatched. I just candled the last 2. Looks like one pipped internally and quit, and the other quit around day 18. This has been a blast. Congrats to everyone

So how does the total count work? Only what has hatched by the end of today? I have 24 hatched and many pipped, others alive but only internals. Or do I wait until they are done hatching? I didn't do so well with a start of 83, had many problems with bad eggs, infertile eggs and just quitters.

Wait until they all hatch.

So I FINALLY have a pip! Just one so far, but that's promising. They are actually due tomorrow cause I had to set them one day late. Told DH that if they hatch tomorrow, that will mean I finally did nearly everything right in this hatch. I usually have an early hatcher or two and a few stragglers. I'm hoping to have all 12 by Monday morning.

It is my 3rd year-- a crazy couple of weeks isn't it?

We usually have a few days to finish hatching as some batches run late.

I was down to 27 states before I realized my time wasn't even going down...

I think mine's bugged. That or it doesn't like Canadians!

I set on the late side of the requirements too-- so I have 2 pips that are early, I think I set Monday, can't remember now-- lol, but still have hopes for the 3rd one. So I"m with you, should have everyone out by Monday.
