I've got a breeding quad of mille fleur d'Uccles (3 hens and a roo), and a breeding set of Ameraucana/Araucana banties (4 hens and 1 roo) and some backyard mix ( 1 frizzled roo and 13 hens, 4 of them frizzled). To make room for some new chicks, I will be downsizing the adult flock starting this weekend. Selling a couple of the mixed hens to a fella locally to add to his backyard flock and probably gonna give a couple of our fav 2 year old hens to a friend who has a flock just barely into the country just outside the city metro area this summer. Planning to start a more concentrated breeding program with the d'Uccles and the A/As (separately obviously) and keep a few of my most broody mix hens to help keep the eggs from freezing before they can be collected during cold months (they lay bigger eggs of a darker color so it's easy to tell which ones are theirs if they happen to lay one). Currently have 2 full brooders with 8 d'Uccles who are almost 2 weeks old (my easter HAL chicks) and the other with 5 A/As, 2 A/A crossed with frizzle roo (which are technically EE I guess then) and 4 d'Uccle cross chicks ( from the broody who is in there to keep the eggs from getting too cold)
Oh my that is allot...

Now that's mean!!! I CAN'T REACH IT FROM A COMPUTER! But tempting....
