Quote: My broodies are bent on making this even more true for me. I will admit it. I no longer even have a clue as to how many chickens I have. And I'm not counting either.
I went to my son's school tonight and he listed out his favorite food, color, and pets. He wrote on his that we have 46 chickens. He's too low, we have a lot more than 46.![]()

It's neck may just be curled from it's position in the egg. Keep an eye on it though. Vitamins will help it.
it could be from the way it hatched but if your worried about it my grandma swears by save a chick supplements that they aren't that expensive

Had the chick already hatched and was bleeding from the umbilical, or was it still in the egg and pipped a vein?Did I do the right thing? I'm frwaking out.... I was watching one of the eggs hatch and she started bleeding out. The first thing i thought to do was go grab flour And pack the wound. She ripped he cord away from the egg to early is what it looked like but there was a lot of blood so I could be wrong.... anyway its been about an hour and she's still moving and peeping but now I'm kind of afraid I might have given her more of a chance to get infection...??? I don't know. WhT do you guys think?
I'm crazy. I admit it. Even got the papers to prove it...lolCongrats to you! I know right? It doesn't seem like I've been here that long.
