Going to put eggs from the incubator under my new broody. See if she does well.

So guess what everybody. I have ANOTHER BROODY! That makes... 4. 3 silkies (one just hatched her eggs so shes a mama) and the new girl is my D'Uccle. She does have a chick with her blood but its under the broody mama.

Guess who accepted chicky? After being abandoned by the first broody. I am amazed. I love this girl. I was thinking of naming her after a cloud suggestions plz!

Being a hen you might want to change the Latin male suffix "-us" to the female suffix "-a" rendering Cirrus to Cirra, Stratus to Strata, Nimbus to Nimba, etc.

what breed are the chicks with the tan on their faces? i got some chicks from a teacher that was told she had got them from a farmer that bred pure breed brahmas but none of the chicks have feathers on their feet and one of the chicks looks like a spiting image of your two chicks.
