The new chick! Just hatch today! The one I was worried about.

And the rooster that was dropped offrom at hinckley park here in ohio. He is such a sweetheart!
Why would anyone do this!?

I grew up in Brunswick Ohio spent a lot of time at hinckley lake. Small world!

Going to move the chicken eggs to another incubator when I get ready to lock them down. (I use it sometimes as a hatcher,I do a lot of split hatches .)On around day 18 I will move chicken eggs to that one and will let the quail finish in this one. The temp on the other one fluctuates more over long periods of time but for a few days it is perfect. I have done many hatches this way.

So I'm back, had a fox battle... toughost creature. We hatched a little baby BCMarans/EE. So cute! Always calling for me! It kept crying this morning I I held it on my bed and past out... I woke up to find it under my chin. I was like "Woah, cute! .... can't believe I just slept with a chick..."

Maybe a loaf of bread under a tree with chickens roosted on a moon lit summer night!

. Mine turners are the ones with pins. The quail racks were for another type. I just whittled them down to fit.

I think that did the trick, managed to get them off! Looks like I had to sacrifice the loaf of bread as outlined above in order to take the motor off, disconnect it from the turner bar, then turn the rails over on their side before they could come out. This made things 10000% easier to clean, totally made my week! Too bad the motor is a pain to remove, I needed a proper sized nut holding wrench thing but had to settle for pliers. Yay!

I clean mine well also. Bleach , then rinse and let dry. I bleach everything . Sometimes stuff I shouldn't ... Lol
