Any idea were I can buy a cheap incubator?

What do you consider cheap?

Tractor Supply sells pretty inexpensive incubators though in my opinion they are a little harder to work with then a slightly better little more costly incubator. The Tractor Supply bators are a little more touchy with the heat and harder to keep accurate also they don't have fans to circulate the air. There are many many people here Im sure even in this hatch a long that do use the Tractor Supply incubators with good results after learning all the fine tuning they need to get good hatches. If you decide to go that route just ask many questions on here and people will surely answer you to help you get the best results possible.

I personally use the Hovabator 1588, its a good incubator and I have had much luck with it and great hatch rates, so much that I got two. To me its almost a set it and forget it type incubator with little fussing with it. I have been happy with them.

I hope others will chime in and give you more suggestions on some inexpensive incubators.

I just hope the new incubator is built in time. I just need a matchbook, some chewing gum, and... wait, wrong project.

My eggs always seem to hatch a day or two early. Should I set them on the next day instead to compensate?
Unlike the New Years Day Hatchalong, there is not, or has not been in the past, a contest for the chick hatched closest to a set time. If your chicks hatch a bit earlier or later it will not matter for this HAL. There is a 2 day window for setting eggs, two days before Saturday the 14th through two days after. It is all about the comradery and fun here on the Easter Hatchalong!!

Wowzers, people, everyone is wanting to book eggs for the Easter HAL, if only I had a magic trick to make the chickens lay extra eggs the first couple of weeks of March!

Here is a link for a thread here on BYC on the Little Giant Incubators that TSC sells. Lots of information over a period of time and is still going.

Here is an article written about the still air. Read this one first, it is short and to the point.....then start of the link above.

These should help you make the decision if it is something you want to try or go a different way.
