Well... put a dozen duck eggs in the incubator today. Here's hoping for the best. Poor duck must've been drowned by her boyfriend.

Boy lots of posts gone for 1/2 day .... It will take me hour to catch up.

Ok, my last 7 chicks that were supposed to hatch Sunday or Monday I checked today. The other day when checking for live ones I tossed about 15 eggs. The 15 died in the stretch between days 10-21. I had 3 specific ones that should have hatched. The blood was drawn in and yoke was in tummy but died when they should have pipped through. I checked them by opening the air sack. When I opened the air sack 7 were still alive. I wrapped the opening with wet paper towel. I had to go in a couple times and wet the towels again... Approx 3 more times to keep them moist. I had already filled the channel trays with water. This morning when I checked them individually, I think 4 more died last night. The Thermometer is reading right at 100. It came with the bator. So I think it is pretty close to 99.9. I AM KILLING MY CHICKS AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!! I left them in the bator just in cause.... My hopes are diminishing.

Ok...So I have never hatched my own chicks. It is horrible anticipation! My Super Reliable Chocolate Orpington girl is on it!!! I have some shipped eggs and some home brewers. Fancy Orpies ...Last night my daughter and I couldn't help ourselves and took a peek at 2 eggs. One of ours and one shipped....Little heart beats♡♡♡♡♡Yea! Come on Easter!

Congrats on the spiders! I might candle tomorrow but my plan is to wait till day 10. I don't want to handle them too much.

Me too....and since I put my eggs in later on Saturday, I have to wait until Tuesday...don't have a smilie sitting on hands so this one will have to do

I set Sat night also. I love the little gut watching the clock like come on already lol. That's how I feel.
