My eggs are to dark I'm going to try a brighter light. .

Don't feel bad I couldn't see anything when I first tried to candle either(not a bright enough light).

Yeah I am in my first trimester of pregnancy....there is no food going into this stomach...myI called .mt husband to tell him I was pregnant and he got home from work and started unloading crackers, ginger ale, and not one but TWO packages of Ginger Lozenges...this is our fourth pregnancy...I was barely sick with the first and then we lost it...with every one since I have been sick as a dog and glad of it because it is the hormones that make me sick. More hormone = stronger baby. So I will gladly live on crackers and Lozenges.

Are you on prenatal vitamins? Have to ask. I have a son that was born with spina bifida. Went through a test they did for 5 yrs. .. the next time I decided to get pregnant. Before I even tried to get pregnant..I was to send blood to Washington, then, they sent me free Prenatal Vitamins. Took me three months of doing this before I got pregnant. Then, blood was sent again, then the wait. A healthy baby. After the 5 yr. test was done with many other participants..the news was, as most know now, that baby needs leafy greens, lots..and prenatal vitamins for the folic acid. They decided it's a mix of two things, this was at that time..genetic, and, the lack of folic acid. I have friends that have had two children with spina bifida. At the time I had him, this was the number one birth defect in our country. 1 baby born an hr. with this. Now, it's down the list. Thank goodness. Folic Acid! I was big time in helping with the public awareness back in the 80's, so this is why I am so adamant. My son was actually the poster boy for a while here in Utah for it. The public awareness has come around. Thank goodness. He is in his early 30's now, and living alone. That still makes mom nervous with all that he has going on, but he's doing it. :)

That's him with Lindsey Sterling..he does a lot to manage her sites and announcements. He's in a chair now. Does well.

This is me when I get started....

Sorry to hear about your hatch! If those were my kids, I would not be a happy momma! They'd at least get a stern talking to, for sure. *insert hug emoticon here*

But, but, 5 yrs. old..they just don't know better. They should have been told in the beginning?

Check for that air sac..that's the best we can do for a while. I have some Marans, it's killing me. I can see some air sacs now, and I'm not too happy with them. A Couple are high up the side, and most are looking waaaay to light! :(

With my first pregnancy DRs tried to convince me I was too small also. They said I wasnt gaining enough weight and the size of my stomach was significantly off. They told me my baby would only be about 5lbs when born full term. They had me terrified new young mom and all. Well Delivery day came, I was full term and my daughter was born at 8lbs 1oz. HEH I showed them lol.

Second pregnancy they started the same old talk oh your not gaining enough weight your stomach is too small there might be something wrong with the baby etc etc etc I didn't listen to them this time, I let them do all the extra sonos they thought they needed, I too also got a 3D sono of DD #2 :) Now that was cool. At one of the sonos the technichian said wow your stomach looks small but your insides are the size of an olympic sized swimming pool lol. DRs say my stomach size at full term was only the size of a typical 6month along stomach. DD#2 was born full term at 7lbs 7oz :)

Third pregnancy DRs finally caught on to my pregnancy pattern and realized small stomach doesn't mean small baby. DD#3 was born full term at 7lbs even

my second pregnancy, I was sick the whole way through and didn't gain a lot of weight at all. They kept telling me that my baby wouldn't be anywhere near as big as my first (8 lbs 9 oz). My daughter was born a few days late and was 8 lbs 13oz! She was a big girl but she was curled in a tight little ball in my belly while my son was all stretched out in there lol

I think that you support the wrong football team, maybe you will support the right one when you grow up !!!  :old

I am team CHICKEN all the way! At 46, what is that, 8 in 'chicken' years? I honestly don't see me making it to adulthood. I have three 'bators going...and two contain my first ever multiple staggered hatches. I will plead sleep deprivation for my indiscretion! Does candling before and after this reply count as my heartfelt apology? ;o
400

This ain't all of em either... ;)

I am officially having a cloud 9 moment. I just bought three new hens the other day, and it would appear that they were in with rooster(s). They are already laying. So, I went to crack open one of the eggs and it was fertile!

When I saw that little bullseye I did a little happy dance.

Now to persuade DH we need to do an "experiment"

hatch. It would be a shame not to hatch at least a few. hehehe. Even my neighbor is trading me some of her b.y.-mix eggs for an "experiment" hatch. LOL!
