Why oh why does my flashlight suck.. it couldn't positively be my pretty eggs are to dark... to me some of my eggs have a pink tint to them but at a glance you would say medium brown. So what is a pink egg suppose to look like anyways? Or a blue one for that matter? I have some gorgeous green eggs in my basket =) but they are difficult to candle too. Guess I'll be waiting till Easter to see inside lol

So I may be nervous about nothing, but my duck eggs are on day 11 and they are already taking up half the egg? My first two that I hatched a few months ago were not that advanced, but it may of been because I had the temperature at I
95 instead of 100? I don't know just curious and also 3 Out Of 6 look like they are stuck to the shell? They don't shift when I turn them like the other 3. Why? Can I fix it? If it's even a problem

Same here all of my brown eggs look infertile but it may be because I can't see inside them lol

I set 7 eggs on march 14th. Two euskal oleas, two salmon favorelles and three EEs.
My first hatch and I've screwed up. Temp was wrong, humidity will not stabilise!
One definite developing egg, 4 maybes and two blood rings at today (day 11)

25 eggs going in the Hatcher basket tomorrow...

The 7 for the HAL have already been moved to the top shelf of the cabinet so they don't get disturbed while waiting for the hatch...

So excited to see my first pips! Keeping my fingers crossed that I have babies by Saturday!

The almost 3 week old girls the hubby brought me home are at that feathered with fluffy head stage... They look so funny! I heard a strange scuffle earlier and turned around to see 2 of them perched on the side of the brooder box...time to cover it...or I'll wake up to pullets all over the house! Lol

5 silver laced wyandottes, 3 New Hampshire reds, 1 light Brahma... The sign said pullets...but that is the same store where we got our current Roos dad...lol bought two olive eggers that were identical lil fluff balls, till they feathered, and the feathers came in white on one...and she started to crow! Lol have the olive eggers green eggs in the bator now and they are impossible to see through!I'll know by Saturday or Sunday though! They'll be half olive egger...half olive egger ? Cross... Never did figure out who our roos mom was...he is identical to his father except he has yellow legs his father and the other olive eggers green legs...

Don't fret about it. Unless you are willing to set up an incubator with special conditions for each egg, there is really little you can do. If they are going to hatch they will. Occasionally I have eggs that develop on only one side despite the automatic turner. They develop and hatch just like the rest. I have found the more you try to "fix" your hatch (shy of real problems with the incubator, of course) the worse you are going to make it. Relax and enjoy the hatching experience. You can always hatch more.

I'm out. A friend of DH was over with his kids this weekend and they were not adequately supervised (I was not home) and one of them turned up the incubator to 120 and cooked everything inside. I am super bummed because there were 13 project eggs in there that it took me 2 weeks to collect.

I'm so sorry. I had this to happen once with my grandson when he visited. But I was blessed to check the incubator temp change and made corrections. Are you going to hatch again this Spring?

My grandsons would lift the top to look in then not close it completely. Temps and humidity would drop drastically and it would be a while before I caught it. Now they don't go near them. My grandsons live with me so I had to nip that one in the but right away. They ask to see now.
