Yeah for the wigglers. I could not sleep all night again. Kept on checking humidity every few minutes for no reason. I think I am going to crash now.

We candled yesterday and have 4 live chicks now in lock down (started with 6 from our hens, 2 never started/ weren't fertile). One is quite an active rocker, no outside movement from the others yet. Am I the only one who chicken talks to me incubator to get them moving? Or sometimes I pull up chicken youtube videos and put the speaker against the incubator wall!

xs two...my phone gets charged more during hatch than in in a month...lol Gotta love youtube...lol

I'm now up to eleven that's hatched.

@bamadude: you havr 1 grand chick so far. white crested with feathered legs.

I have some of @bamadude 's eggs cooking in my Brinsea octagon eco right now and so far all the ones I've candled have veining (only day 5). They are doing so well I can't wait, but if you would post a picture of said White crested baby, I would be forever grateful!!!! As for my HAL chicks only 12 made it to lockdown; some are very hard to see through and some are just iffy looking, so not sure how it will go. I really hope my fluffy butts all make it out but it's looking gloomy for some. Here's to everyone in my incubator hatching tomorrow

Good luck I hope they all hatch for you. The unstable temps is why I bought two Genesis 1588's and we built a homemade hatcher. Thanks to Oz and Bama Dude and it is working perfectly! Holding temps withing .02 degrees and holding the humidity perfectly! It will hold 84 eggs in baskets or 7 dozen in cartons. The digital STC1000 keeps the temps perfect! I had 5 thermometers and three hygrometers calibrate it by.
