I have another one out. :) :) Someone on here asked what a zip looked like..here is a photo of the first chick almost out. Then the nice clean shell. From each side... The shell... looks good. Baby is doing well..both are..the second one is an OE..and another is zipping. It's Welsummer mix, nice speckled egg.
Yep it was me asking about a zip thank you for remembering and posting a pic.

I wish I knew what these were!

I know that the silver (?) and the chipmunk in the middle are from my own eggs, making them half speckled sussex. The silver is from a lavender/splash orpington maybe? No idea on the chippy.

The others could be EE, OE, or SS mixes. There's absolutely no way for me to know, and that's really stressful for us Type-A folks.

They're CHICKS!

I have so far:
4 from 6 Brabanter shipped from Florida to Alaska!
7 from 7 Appenzeler spithaben eggs (sp?) Shipped from Arizona to Alaska!
9 from 18 Black Copper Maran shipped from Texas to Alaska!
4 Welsh Harlequin Duck eggs pipped!

And more still trying!

I hatched out somewhere around a dozen Silver Spangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben's myself! Those are some awesome rates on shipped eggs especially that far.

@chicken pickin
I think I did that right? Lol
I love the coloring methods, I have never done those! :)

This has been the most fun hatch so far! Each chick looks so different. I've got 4 hatched out: 1 silkie, 1 silkie mix, and 2 showgirls (one has cute puffy cheeks, and the other is a white showgirl, which is exactly what I wanted!)

I've got 3 left, pipped, including the 2 malpositioned chicks.
