I am working with the other Admins judging the cutest baby fowl contest...There are so many cute babies!

It has to be fun going through them. There are soo many darling photos there..can't wait to see what you guys come up with the egg contest!

Playing around with the chicks today.

Come and teach mine to stay still long enough to take cute premeditated pics. They just won't cooperate!! My last hatch would let me pose them and everything...this hatch...nope. Won't stay still for .10 of a second!

These were pretty flighty until put them down. One did escape, but I let it go for a minute until it settled down a bit. Then I let them do their thing. If they got too far away, I gently herded them back. I was really surprised at how well they did.





Edit to say I took 90 pictures total. 23 were keepers. Not too bad.

You can get rumpless any time with araucana based breeds. Same reason why you get beards and muffs--Genes are shared.

Yours is probably an ee x oeg.

im just worried now that my flock may have something or he babies have something and i may loose everyone

fingets crossed. I fed them crushed red pepper flakes and garlic
