Last year, I hatched almost two dozen eggs, scattered through four different hatches. I desperately wanted a rooster, and the final gatch I ended up with two lol. I had a ton of extra pullets.

WOW nice pullet hatches! Of course when you want pullets you don't get them, obviously same goes for when you really want the males... and nothing lol.

How does that happen? I usually end up with half roos and have a devil of a time getting rid of them.

For most of the winter I was only getting 1-2 eggs a day sometimes ZERO. I have 25 females, so many are still in winter mode but 7 means they are working back up to laying again.

I got my Octagon 20 Advance today. Yay! Setting a test hatch tomorrow. My question for Brinsea users - do I leave the factory set 99.6F or up it a little? I've always hatched around 99.9-100.2 in forced air.
