Hey everyone!! I just got a batch of B/B/S Marans eggs & Barnevelders, so I guess I'm in again this year! I was planning on sitting this one out, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do, right? I'll be setting the 12th though, it's already killing me not to put them in right now, lol!

I'm picking this little sizzle nn at a show Saturday. It will be my first. Cross your fingers it will be a girl.

Wow I just realized how close we are to set day. Only 3 more days...

But it isn't coming fast enough!! lol I pick up my eggs Friday afternoon. I wanted to wait until Sunday morning to set them, but I don't know if I am going to be able to hold out.....I might end up setting them Saturday w/everyone else.....lol

I'm getting eggs at the show to set too. Hope i have my new bator straitened out thermostat gages was off and I bakes my test run. I've had it holding steady now for almost a week so hopefully that is straitened out.

2 of 4 shipped eggs are in. Hoping for the other 2 by tomorrow. Was trying to set tomorrow but it looks like the shipped ones will have to go in later. I don't like splint hatched that close together. O well as long as I get them in.

She has a very small area under the bowtie that is visible when she is standing with her head up, but from bowtie up is feathered and all the down the back to the "shoulders" is bare.

I was hoping to set some of my own eggs with this HAL but the girls are not cooperating. :/ The only one laying right now is my leghorn and hers are still infertile. Apparently she doesn't like the boys I put in with them. She attacks them then runs. Lol Guess I'll have to settle for my shipped BCMs and the couple banty eggs I have saved.
