The 6th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

I need to change my set number from 39 to an even 40 (forty. ) Early this morning I was cleaning the coop and a leghorn sat in my lap and laid an egg.
Something possessed me to run it in the house and stick it in the incubator. I guess I thought it was a sign. ;)

I set 5 Silkie eggs (for my friend), 57 Light Sussex eggs (because my hens were so generous), 2 Speckled Sussex eggs (because my hens were fooled into laying by an intrusive "cuckoo" RIR), and 4 "I don't know if they're SS or RIR eggs," (because some of their eggs look a lot alike) - for a total of 68 eggs. I did all of this about 2 hours ago, and I set 30 of the 68 in my NEW DIY Coolerbator, and 38 of the 68 in my digitally modified Hovabator. Am now looking forward to Easter - and wishing y'all Mystery and fulfillment with your hatches in 3 weeks.

I looked at all that empty space in that picture and decided to fill more of it after collecting more eggs today.

Add 2 more SFH, 1 more project Am (could be pure black), and 1 White Bresse for a new total of 16.

Add one more BCM for a total of 17 :lau These girls haven't laid in months and now 2 in 2 days! I guess they liked their "egg inducing" special treats yesterday! :thumbsup
What is an "egg inducing" treat??

After rearranging the eggs already set I finally got my 12 in for the hatch along at 12:30. Waiting for the hatch the hard part.

I just set 10 maran mix, 6 ameraucanas, 3 barred rock, and 3 barnyard mix. Can't wait to see how we do! This is our first hatch!!!
