Is that one inside red? I think I have the same one, and a different one in the other bator. I love that red one, it does well, will change temps faster than the black one I have that folks are showing on here..not the one you have on the outside here, but the one from Wallmart. Can't tell what the one inside is reading..is that 99..or 93?
yes it is! A lot of people think of Silkies as being mostly brooders, but my hatchery birds have been amongst my most consistent layers. Yours are PROLIFIC. Way to go, Silkies!Total set 15 silkies eggs! Sorry I'm late posting this. But I set them yesterday at 12I only have 2 hens so I think that's a pretty good amount for 10 days of collecting
You are fine setting today! I love the Aussies. We just set our eggs! I think we may be a day late though...we are totally new to this, hoping we're doing it right?!?! Picked up eggs from my inlaws flock, they have Astrolops. Thought it would be nice to have another breed in our flock. We Shall See! (Thinking we may have Easter Chicks, if all goes well.)
Set four (4) eggs under my broody hen todaymy own barnyard mix. The eggs I ordered were not filled due to the cold snow/ice late Feb.![]()

I can be depending on the parents. Even so most breeders will not sell chicks as that could be the one if you know what I mean. I have paid $30 dollars a chick for cream legbars from a good breeder so I am not stunned at it.What a sweet pair! Someone had serama chicks for sale on our local craigslist yesterday...they wanted $25 for a 3 day old chick...is that about normal?
