it just so happens that the digital thermostats and computer fans arrived in the mail this week. Now if I can just find a junked wine fridge I will be all set...

Get some books and tilt the incubator three times a day.

One thing to do when you get the turner parts is make sure that not of the pivots is binding. It sounds like there is a problem like that in the turner.

That is definitely easier than opening it to turn them all. Thanks for the idea. I think the trays were turning ok. Some of the eggs in this batch are jumbo size. Maybe they were putting strain on the adjacent trays as some of them did butt up against them.

I don't know what this is but it's truly awesome!

It is just something fun the kids and I are doing. We joined the hatch-a-long, then I Incorporated "egg science" into our homeschooling curriculum to go along with the hatch. The Incubator Wars post has been a fun way to post updates of how the hatch is going. I am glad you enjoyed it.

I just realized I have over a hundred eggs going into lockdown tomorrow yay test hatching.lol c'mon fertility rates.. not sure what kinda rates I'll get because I've only spot candled, and by that I mean I only candled the white ones aka some few bantam eggs and the goose eggs which make up less then 1/6 of the set. I might of got a little carried away with an empty cabinet bator holding temp, but all my girls have started back up after more then two months if nothing, so I just had to test fertility didn't I?
