I absolutely can not see through any of my big eggs! The bantys are doing good though!

I guess I just keep my fingers crossed with the green, Brown and pink ones... They're all on day 12...

Maybe the bulb is too far from the hole? Its at the bottom of a coffee can... Any suggestions on how to see through the big eggs would be great!

My 7 bantys for the Hal are all coming right along they were set the 15th...

This thread is going to be INSANE on hatch day, isn't it?

Oh, it will start a few days before, those babies come along when they want! And some set a bit early, like myself. Will be fun to hear all of the excitement.

Candled my eggs this morning and so far all 15 look good although a couple are questionable because they are darker shells and hard to see.

I use an Ozark Trail OT-250 flashlight from Wal-Mart. It works well

I do that too. I have some I can't see through well, and even those that could be blood rings I do the old smell test. Leave them (marked of course) and watch them closely, I have heard some can actually be development not disaster.

I took 9 eggs away from mom hen on the 10th she only likes to sit hates her babies dont know y but ,they dye every time if i dont 2 hatched 4 wroten 4 havent hatched but not giving up on them yet another chicken might have snuck them in later

I always try to resist until day 7 to candle.

7 comes after 5,right?

I see where I was messin' up now. I thought '7' came BEFORE 5.... oh well.
