You're hatching chickens right? You said you set on Sat the 14th. Actually Wednesday would be the 18th day.. not Tuesday. with Saturday being day 21. Sorry about that.

You could do Thursday as well. You set late on Sat.- Wednesday evening to Thursday evening would be day 18 for you. Some people lockdown early on day 18 some people wait until the end of day 18 and there are still others that lockdown early day 19. I've even heard of some people that hatch bantams will lockdown late day 17. It doesn't have to be a precise time.

Yup, I hope I'm hatching chickens. I hope my rooster was up to his job. Never hatched anything from these guys before, been at least 3 years I think since I hatched anything.

thanks everyone i cried forever. i havent lost a chicken since 2010...LOL LUCK anyways, here are my TSC chicks i picked up today. i couldnt resist the frizzle cochin they had! anyone know what the black one and the striped ones could be? i was thinking the striped could be golden phoenix?

Too cute, I want some! I am not too sure the ones breed... My TSC only sells like five breeds of chickens lol, so I don't get any. And they are sick, antibiotics in the water... I lost a chicken last month ... You did pretty good for five years!

I clicked on this, and I can see all of that pollen..too cute. Busy little bees..I was just wondering if you were seeing any of this..wasn't sure if you had blossoms around you yet. We do. All of the fruit trees, and the flowering trees, I will soon be hearing the buzz around my head when I go into the back by the shed ... that cherry tree is loaded again!

thats what i thought but im not sure. they dont seem to have muffs and they all seem to be one uniform color of feathers coming in. these guys are the tiniest bantams ive ever had! even smaller than my japanese! LOL

I'm pretty sure that I got a frizzle bantam cochin too, from a store here called Cal Ranch. I got two, because they looked like they will be splash. I had no idea that the one could be frizzle..until yesterday, then I started asking her if she is a frizzle. She hasn't answered yet, but I will give her a few more days to think on it, then I'll be pretty sure.

Oh! I have 4 Americana and only 1 has the puffy cheeks ;-) the rest do not and they looked exactly like the lil striped guys you have
