OK guys i tried to get eggs to hatch but i don't have an incubator and i don't know anything about hatching, so could i have some advice and knowledge about incubating?? whats lock down? and is the Easter hatch along every year? if so i will be hatching my own eggs next year

and i'm getting a 10 egg incubator soon

why are everyones so early--isn't lockdown tomorrow??? my new sportsman arrived yesterday morning and i transferred the surviving eggs from my LG tabletop to it. i lost a lot to heat spikes and cold spots, hopefully all i put in will do fine, i cant wait to see my results! i started lav and silver silkies in it today. two of the lav eggs were cracked but i put liquid skin on them, lets see if it works, they were pretty intense cracks from a beak it looks like.

How many days along does this eggs look to everyone?

One of my incubators is running a little low also, I am also on day 18 and most of my eggs look like yours. I bumped my temp up by one full degree two nights ago so I hope they continue to develop. Lockdown is supposed to be tonight for me. I will lock down my incubator that has good development tonight and the incubator that was running too cool I will wait maybe 2 extra days or so to do lockdown I might wait until I see first pip. I think I will turn the eggs for an extra day or 2 and then stop.

Some set eggs early, like my self. However, Mine are pipping two days early....And to make things complicated the first three that pipped, one pipped on the bottom, them middle and at least one in the correct spot the top. Ugh!

 Not bacteria, egg yolk,  looks like a rupture of the yolk sack.  It may have happened after death.  I'm sorry for your loss, but opening it will help you learn a lot, even if you don't always know what you are looking at.

ive had the worst luck with my splint today. i thought i could go around without my crutches and hop around on one foot and i fell in the yard. i took a shower earlier and wrapped my foot in a bag in attempt to not get it wet and the splint is all wet. i just went to check on the eggs and hopped on one foot over to the bator and fell yet again. i keep hurting myself by not using what i need....LOL but when i use the crutches i trip   

well i have to call the doctor tomorrow anyway because of the wet splint. yay.

ok ive been trying

I have Black Copper Manans and Olive Eggers (Ameraucana x BCM). Will I be able to tell the chicks apart when they hatch?

All but 3 are looking good.

i use a divider but it may be easy to tell? definitely once their older
