I would keep it in a clean brooder by itself on something soft (no wire, no shavings) and I'd probably dip it in chlorhexidine solution. That's what I did for my duckling and it resolved in a few days.I went to check the bator and we had 4 new hatchers in there. (Up to 26 hatchers so far I believe and I think I have 5 left expected to hatch and 4 I don't.) When I went to move them, I noticead this:

Any advice??? It's dry, (at least the outside.) Not bloody or gooey. The chick is very active appears to be strong. The chick hatched sometime between 7 am and 9:30 am this morning.
No progress on my pips. I'm watching movies with the kids and crocheting to keep myself occupied. I'm the worst meddler.
Both are her own eggs. In my last hatch (4 of 15) two of the chicks were from her eggs. She must have really hardy genes.I am so sorry! That is how I felt about my hova bator!

Surly there is a nice kitchen aid mixer or something she may want in exchange for you keeping it.I will have a Brinsea Ocatgon 40 Advanced available for sale after the hatch. I just bought it before the EHAL. DW says that its the only way she can make sure I don't hatch that many chicks again![]()
