Most of my eggs turned out to be clears, had a few quitters along the way, and in the end, 6 eggs made it to lockdown. Here's my first pip!

Had a yellow baby hatch with red eyes... does that mean it's blind? I've never seen this in a chick before

Anything with red eyes is albino isn't it.

I have never seen or heard of chicks with red eyes...

As soon as it fluffs up, I promise I'll get pics. It's really bizarre... I'm trying to google it and only one thing came up, but it didn't get me anywhere.

I googled albino chicken and apparently there is a BYC thread on them! With pictures. ...

There was a project to add emoticons to BYC but it seems to have stalled.

maybe it just takes time for an emoticon project to go from the pip stage to zip to hatch, we are impatient, I want it now

I broke the rules and took it out for a few quick photos.

It has something hanging out of its navel still, and it seems to be drying up... it still may not make it though.
