Our final count is 4 out of 7. 1 of the 3 that didn't make it had pipped - it was being bounced around by the 4 that had hatched, so I removed the 4 to give the 1 a chance. I waited until the next day - no zipping, no cheepingso I carefully did some zipping & waited.. Nothing. So that night went ahead & snipped the rest of the top of the shell away. The little guy was not alive, fully developed. Now I feel like I should've done something - or was it just too weak & wouldn't have made it?
But here are my 4 beautiful little Sultan chicks. Their feathers are really progressing - wings, tails, feet! They're SO precious.And the proud parents
