I'm only 5'2" but not thin. I'm working on losing some of that belly I gained when I had kids so I was thin enough to to squeeze through but not without a lot of squishing. The hens were all but laughing at me.

Oh man, now that's a beautiful picture! So wish you luck. I guess you don't candle these..or do you? Are these your first Emu eggs to hatch?

Well, I'm getting roughly 2 dozen serama eggs shipped to me and they will be arriving early next week... I'm guessing I won't be eligible to participate anymore if I start hatching them this early?

Maybe I'll just get some more eggs at the end of this month.

I have a bad feeling about this chicken math thing...

So my little niece came to visit me today and helped me gather the eggs laid and she decides she wants to name three eggs and set them. Will they be ok being set 22 hours behind the rest? She named them "Tink", "Ali" and "Bebi". She's three :)

They will be fine. A day early lockdown won't hurt. I have a few staggered like that. They all are developing nicely.

That's so cute! Yes, they should be fine. It will probably just drag your hatch out a little bit.
