Alright, my final count is 27 Easter Egger mixes.

We set 34 eggs today, if slightly later than noon. *sigh*

Mix of standard (barnyard mix), and bantams ("purebred" Silkie and D'Uccle).



The hand belongs to my daughter, The Chicken Whisperer (age 10).

Oops got home from the movies to a few more eggs layed so of course I set 2 more. My complete total now is 23.

So much for my scramble to get eggs looks like I'm picking up about three dozen tomorrow. Now hopefully i can get the new incubator to cooperate.
My temps are running a bit high but the digital thermostat says its on point. so fingers crossed once the eggs are in there the temps will even out.
I'll update with my final set number tomorrow.

Good morning guys. About to set some eggs. Tried to attach a picture but it just isn't working. I got 2 hours of sleep last night. Not much is working for me right now haha. If you were to know me, you would know nothing turns me into a nervous, anxious mess like sick kids... and my 4 year old has croup. Siiiiggghhhh. T MINUS 1 HOUR 27 MINUTES until the doctors open.

Today I also lock down 10 faverolles eggs from S. Provost, which I am terribly excited about!

I had chronic croup as a child and my Mom is a nurse. Cool(not cold) moist air is great for it or she also often used to put me in the bathroom with the shower running hot sit your child on the toilet or the counter and let them breathe the steam it should massively help with the breathing. As an aside idk if it runs in your clfamily but in mine group tends to happen to the children that get asthma but that could be just in my family.

That's great! We just might to get some Silkies sometime, everyone on here talks them up

I love my silkies so so very very much!!
