The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Quick question for those who use Brinsea. Anyone use the Brinsea mini eco? I just bought off Amazon and its coming Monday. I'm currently using the Little Giant {still air} and I'm not too happy with it. Its doing the job but I just needed something with a little more control. The size is perfect as far as the Brinsea goes because i don't plan on hatching a lot more at a time after this HAL. The temps in the Little Giant aren't as steady as I like... I know with still air there are different layers etc. If you have the Brinsea Mini Eco or Advance are you happy with it?

I went ahead and bought it because I currently have two different hatch dates right now and I wanted to separate the ones that are hatching first, so I dont have to worry about the other eggs during the "lock down" period. I'm going to run the Brinsea a few days for temp stabilization etc before I transfer the eggs. Just crossing my fingers on the Little Giant holding through on my 18 Lavender Ameraucana eggs. My 7 babies that are due March 17th are looking fabulous so far so I am optimistic.

We don't have a mini, but an eco 20 ans I just love it. I suspect you will be very happy with it!

I had chronic croup as a child and my Mom is a nurse. Cool(not cold) moist air is great for it or she also often used to put me in the bathroom with the shower running hot sit your child on the toilet or the counter and let them breathe the steam it should massively help with the breathing. As an aside idk if it runs in your clfamily but in mine group tends to happen to the children that get asthma but that could be just in my family.

Thank you for the advice :)
No asthma runs in our family, but both boys get croup yearly. Last night was a long night of alternating keeping him next to the cool air humidifier, standing with him in the bathroom with a hot shower running (I think we did this 8 times...) and wrapping him in a blanket and sitting with him on the back porch for the cool foggy air. We maintained, but luckily, the dr. Did give us a steriod for him and so hopefully tonight will be slightly better. If only I could maintain my panic levels with that thought ;)

I forgot that this weekend I should be having my own faverolles hatch under my broody
:weee
I might even be able to snap a photo for the broody contest. I am trying to enter all the contests (even if I donated prizes) just for fun. I sure do love photo challenges!
Congrats to all the eggs set today!

LOVE my Brinseas! Yes plural. I have the mini, the Eco 20 and just bought the Eco 40. They are good incubators.
