Lol I think I'm on day three TJordan that's what I'm saying I'm going nuts already lol. I mean I can't even do first candle yet lol and having a broody on top of everything else I shouldn't be so impatient we have 6 chicks from @Junibutt but I'm just so excited this is the most we've incubated at a time by far andso we're waiting on them and on the 30th our ordered chicks are showing up at the farm store for pick-up and yayayayayayayayyayay

On the other hand I'm a bit worried as our incubator is overly full lol and my last hatch of shipped eggs was in rough shape back in October and was a complete bust. I'm also worried about the MPC eggs I got this time around(7 eggs) and the air cells are rough and huge saddles but at least the two partially floating cells reconnected

I started with 20... Then jumped to 54!!! My friend needed some done. She came over with 2&1/2 dozen

I pulled my turner and layed everything flat. Then. On the same day I do this my husband comes home from the store with MORE babies.

Ok, I have suctioned out water, will watch humidity closer and add more in one well if needed... Thanks for your help. This is my first try and I did not know not to fill all wells. Hope I did not hurt all the eggs.

The local feed store got chicks in stock, and they have BUFF LACED POLISH in pre- order.
I MUST HAVE one!!!!

Now instead of 5 white leghorn hens and an EE roo, (which is what I have been planning on for a while) I'm about to pre order 3 white leghorns, 1 EE roo, 2 polish (one buff, I silver) 1 BO, 1 GN, 1 Porcelain D'uccle, and 1 Marans hen. Sound good?

So funny story.. I tried to arrange my eggs into an Easter Bunny shape. My smart @#$ husband said it looked like an alien with anntenna. I gave up and put them in the trays. I am creativity challenged.. Good luck to the entrants!!

Well, due to some issues with the new "cabinet cooler bater" , regulating the temp & trying to make a turner, I didn't set eggs at I'd planned on Saturday.
I ended up just getting 3 auto egg turners at TSC & cutting off one row, so they'd fit inside the incubator. Then, found another fan, to help circulate the air, as the 2 computer fans weren't moving the air enough. By the time that was done, it was bed-time on Saturday.
Ended up setting eggs Sunday evening (between 5pm & 8pm, due to having stop for supper).
So, I'm calling day one as 3/7, b/c they probably didn't start incubating until this early am.
It was so hard to choose which ones to incubate, as I'd been saving up all week, even after candling them to remove any "imperfect" eggs.
I'll post the exact #'s of each group set, but to my surprise, when I added all the eggs together, the calculator read "100" !!
Well, it was 96, but I thought what's four more?! I've never set that many! But, I figure it's testing out the new incubator, which there's no guarantee they'll hatch or not.
So, I'm half expecting them not to all hatch, since the temperature isn't as consistent throughout as I'd like.

That doesn't count the 8 turkey eggs I set, for a test hatch, since I'm not sure if they're fertile. But, since they're not hatching on the same day, they aren't included in the Easter Hatch-A-Long.

Bwhahaha I would but I wanna be able to hatch chicks!! And that isn't the total number, the reason there are no OEGB on that list is because I have a local source... I wuv those birdies!!
Soo um yeah, that's why I am not getting more. Because I already am.
And I am going to ignore any broody hen I get, so if my games go broody, I'll leave 'em... So that is some more...

I am sooo exited about buff laced polish, I thought they didn't have any! I have been waiting for too long!! e
Oh, and I *might* be placing a heating pad order, to get the MHP up in order to increase the numbers of chicks I can brood... Just maybe.
