And the rest are double-stacked in the Genesis 1588 egg turner - top layer newest eggs & bottom layer of eggs due to hatch on the 11th. So, will be moving them to the hatcher Tomorrow!
I've double stacked many times & as long as there is a( rubber band around the egg turner motor & "channel"), it does just fine. You're "not supposed to", but the warranty ended way before this!
I just check them a few times a day, as sometimes the top eggs fall over on their side.
Hummm I wonder if I should give updates like Razadia. This way if I disappear in the middle of it my chicken crazed friends can alert the cops of Fowl

Oh pray for my little boy. He spiked a fever of 101 last night and spent most of the night crying that his ear hurt. I've got dr appointment in 45 mins. I hope it's not another ear infection. They said many more and we will be looking at tubes.
On a different ,chick related note, I had to tend a few cases of pasty butt last night and my older chicks took a trip outside for a min this morning. They huddled in a corner of the area I set up in the coop so I brought them back in. It started raining and my power cord has a break. Safety first.
I have a son that suffered often with ear infections. They are so painful. I hope they can get it under control fast..just have to wait for the anti-biotic to kick in. My son had the tubes. What a changed boy from then on! Wonderful thing to have done for them if that's what the doc suggests.

I know I don't know you, but over 6 yrs ago when I met my husband my daughter attended public school and daycare and was sick often (colds, sore throats, ear infections and all the other standard kid illnesses.
