No, only the Silver variety of true Ameraucanas are chipmunk striped... but I don't see any muffs at all either...

I'd guess they might be Wyandottes maybe...

That's a Silver Laced Wyondotte. They are pretty. Look them up.

I set twelve eggs. Today is day seven for me. I candled them today and have ten with veins and two clear that I need to toss. I have a question though. What's up with this egg? The baby was moving and has good veins. This is my first time hatching so I'm not sure if this is an issue or not.

I actually really wanted some ameracaunas this year but the feed store didn't order them and a minimum ship order is 25 and my husband will not be happy if 25 more baby chicks show up. I already had 3 in the brooder (8 now) and 39 eggs in the incubator. But these were so cute I couldn't pass them by
