My crazy broody hen didn't kill off all 8 of my eggs, one hatched earlier. Salmon faverolle I think. Hope it is OK in the morning- got stuck in the shell.

Well I finally had time to candle. 1 clear out of 40, the other 39 look good. No blood rings and a lot of movement. Air cells look right where they should be for day 8. Since everything looks good (much better than my previous hatches) I'm going to skip day 10 and candle again on day 14 or 15.

I candled, all are swimming, and those air cells look great! Just like the last time I got eggs from her! A gal in CO.

Anyone want some great EE eggs? Wow, this is who I got my eggs from..twice now. Always very fertile. I have 22 that are thriving. I am so tempted to get them, just because EE's are so much fun to watch as they grow up. They change so much.
Trust me, this is a great deal for these..shipping is more than I've had to pay before. But it comes out about the same when I got the 30 last time, and they always send more.

Just finished my first candling and I had to toss three and I replaced them eggs with some Russian Orloff eggs but all the other eggs I candled had so much life going on with the vines and some kind of twitching gong on it made me feel so good to the bone
