The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

I will be hatching, Mixed chickens, Sebastopol geese, Swedish ducks, gray call ducks, black austrolorps, silkie crossed brahma, and showgirls... I also have 35 birds coming Feb. 18-19 5 Blue Swedish female ducks, 2 male 3 female black runner. 10 buckeye pullets, 5 sultan, 5 Yokohama, and 5 appenzeller spitzhaubens... I am soooo ready for this year of showing after my first year winning so much.

Wow, Easter hatch coming up this fast?

This week's temps have been -5, though we hit a balmy 20 today! Sporadic cracked eggs for me right now.

Yeah, I hope to have the girls gearing up in time. They're actually doing great in the cold weather, but with night being 3 times longer than day right now (or so it seems), they say "We so ain't ready, k?thanks." This thread is a good reminder to me to start thinking about setting up breeding pens...stringing up some lights...springtime in the arctic.
