The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Ok. Only 12 made it in that last batch but 1 has developed BAD pasty butt. Thankfully when I first started chickens 3 years ago I was, and still am, a research hog. If I have a question I read. I took precautions and gently clean most but you never know. I may lose him. I pray not. Oh on a happy note my husband grudgingly gave me the thumbs up to set another batch after I check all gauges and clean it WELL!!!

REMINDER to those getting eggs or need eggs for the EASTER HAL, ask the seller to collect and ship your eggs the WAY you WANT them too! if you are getting more than a doz plus I highly suggest shipping in 2 shipments!! Its worth spending the extra cash!

I had a blue Ameraucana. She was so sweet. Not flighty like I keep hearing others say. She followed me around like a puppy dog. I love a blue chicken. :)
I have one that looks exactly like this one she is not laying yet. I hatched her last summer from eggs I bought of delawares the lady put in some extras she said she got her stock from whitmore farms I doubt mine is pure cause the egg she hatched from looked like a regular light brown egg.

Just candled the 14 eggs I set and 11 are showing great growth and movement, 1 looks clear will give it a few more days, 1 looks very dark it's from a greyish/greenish egg and 1 looks like a blood ring

this chicken is on Ebay . they are calling it a Ameraucana but I think its a Easter Egg a very beautiful one. I believe his color is not a recognized color as a ameraucana.
love his white beard. They show nice blue eggs and hens all mostly the same color.

Not pure.

Anyone have pictures of silver Ameracaunas I'm having trouble finding them? Chicks and adults would be cool to see.

Also does anyone have Egyptian Fayoumi hatching eggs that they would be willing to sell to me?
I'm also looking for serama eggs....
I will have Egyptian not this spring but next. Just ordered some there in the brooder 2 weeks old. I know that not what you wanted to hear . But keep me in mind if you don't get them this year.

Cynthia - I'm with you on blue chickens. I have a blue English Orp and a couple of blue olive eggers. Splash is really getting to me too, a good splash pattern is gorgeous.
