The egg in the picture? Give it more time. Blood rings usually look different from that picture.

Will give it time thanks
x2 are you candling from the fat end of the egg? Air cell down into the egg? that looks like a loose air cell somewhat doesnt it Ron? of course candling images are tough to look for stuff

I don't have a candler so I improvise with alight then I cup the egg with my palm pointy end down with the light from same end.

Huh...thought I had 15 hens. 17 eggs from the girls today, guess I have more than I thought. LOL

They enjoyed their dinner in the coop today as it was snowing this am, scratched up all the bedding and fluffed nicely.

2 more days until lockdown for my silver quail. Can't wait for hatch this weekend!

All these delicious photos of silver ams and what not, I will not look at ebay...I will not...brb.

this chicken is on Ebay . they are calling it a Ameraucana but I think its a Easter Egg a very beautiful one. I believe his color is not a recognized color as a ameraucana.
love his white beard. They show nice blue eggs and hens all mostly the same color.

They are a project color. The lady has been breeding them for 2 years (or more) and they are just getting better and better. They are full Ameraucanas (in the sense that nothing else is mixed in) but she has been standardizing this particular group of genes (which probably includes the Red Pyle) to get what she calls Snow and Chestnuts. They are breathtaking.

It looks like the egg is candled from the bottom and does not show the veins well. The embryo is likely on the other side.

Will give it time thanks

In a couple of days you will likely see the veins better at the top of the line going from the small end to the big end.

like this:

This is on day 8 of incubation and is a pita pinta egg.

Get a simple light from the store( as little as $1) and grab some electric tape. Creat a comb that your egg can safely sit up against. This will keep the light from cracking the egg
