Actually, I don't think so... I think I heard something about it causing issues to use Gold Laced, but I could be wrong... chooks would be the one to ask, I never got into any of the laced, much less BLR...

They are an awesome breed. I PM'd @UGLYFOOT . I've only got 2 hens laying right now though. Another one is POL any day and then several right behind her. It will be the spring of the ISBAR at my house!

I think this cross actually makes blue laced red... eventually. Not 100% on that, though.

You can't make blue laced red by crossing golden laced and silver laced. The genes for the blue and mahogany need to come from somewhere and neither the golden or silver laced will have those genes.

By breeding blue to blue, splash to blue, or splash to splash.

And I have just that. Here is my mix marans, plus, I do have the pure blue copper marans, but I want to keep them separated to keep them pure.

Here is the splash OE boy, about a month ago. That is a Blue Copper Marans beside him.



Here is the mix blue marans. I will let him breed her.
