The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

That's a bummer, I hope he has a quick relapse back to when it was a good idea.

I have Splash, adorable little buggers. Unfortunately they arent laying though:/ If they were Id send some eggs off to you.

Do you have pictures please share?! I have a pullet I hatched last year that I think qualifies as a splash but I'm not positive. But I know she's stunning. I have a mixed pullet whose mother was a white mix(with some Leghorn- that lays light pink eggs) and her father a black orp. I'm not sure if she's splash or not but she sure is pretty. She's my pullet that had an impacted crop a couple weeks ago. Anyway she is like a creamy white(not a stark white) with black and blue flecks through her feathers most of these flecks are very small.

Idk if you can see the flecks in these images or not

Sorry just realized I wasn't clear I have what I believe may be a blue splash silkie named Lovey.

I also have this pullet Jasmine that I'm not sure if she could be a splash or not she is certainly unusual looking and I can't wait to see what she lays after she has fully recovered. Jazzy also has some more large spots of color under her wings particularly her right wing. Is there no name for this coloring?

Yes I lost. I last bid 19.00 on them. Here is where it began. You can message this person and see if they will have more.

Wait! I just reread your post..you said SG's! Well, these are NN's, but they are pretty. Take a look for fun.

Someone showed Nate a site from e-bay. And, one personal, not sure what one.
I saw these!! OH my they are beautiful!

I will check this one out. I have 5 eggs out of 17 in lockdown now with a 50/50 chance for a SG so I was just preparing to find more.. They were Ebay and I thought I would like to find a breeder that I feel like I can talk to better. I am not convinced of the fertility. I know the risk of shipped eggs, but there should have been more you would think that were not clear.

Thanks Sally. We were going to do it again today, but it started raining. I didn't even finish filing his hooves.

its nasty here, snow rain ice, school now closed

My little white silkie is broody, pretty sure. She has been making that sound, She growled at me last night when I did one last check for an egg from her before bedtime because I didn't get an egg..and today, she was to bed pretty early. Touched her..up went the whole body of feathers, and she growled again. Cute, I haven't had a broody in a while. I knew it was time. Those silkies of mine will lay for about a month and a half to two months, then go broody. There was an egg under her. One of Bubbas. Just ate a couple of her eggs this morning..they are still fertile! I just left it there. See what happens. I think I know what happens when you leave fertile eggs under a broody hen.

Just hoping this one is fertile.
If mothergoose can get those eggs off tomorrow like she was advertising..that would work too. Put a few under her.
Ordering those eggs is Sally's fault. I have been looking for bantam eggs, then I see all of these places that she posted..yes, I had been on the sale site, but there it was when I clicked on Sally's post. mothergoose had posted it since I last looked..yesterday.

Now Isbars have stunning splash coloring. I don't have this hen anymore. I gave her back to my friend who's eggs I hatched from. She got out of breeding and just wanted 1 Isbar hen, so I gave her back. (I'm sure she was happy to go to a home without roosters)
very nice! love that look!

Here are Isbar chicks I hatched last week that follow the BBS rule. The rooster was blue, the hens are blue and splash. I got 2 black, 1 blue and 1 splash.
Now I have a splash rooster in with blue and splash hens, so I will get 100% splash from that hen and rooster combo and the blue X splash should be 5050.

awwwww love them!!
Here are my Splash Silkies

look at the dark in that one!!! how adorable!!

Got like 10 chicks in the bator. Three more pips so hard not to open it up and get the fluffy guys out.
UPDATE!!!
